About Kappa Delta
In 1897, four young women at State Female Normal School of Virginia (now Longwood University) joined together with a common vision — to create something “higher and nobler,” an organization that would empower women through friendship and high ideals. Over 125 years later, the sorority continues to live the dream of its founders by providing a lifelong experience for our members through support and sisterhood.
The Kappa Delta experience offers members the chance to leave their mark on the future and impact the lives of members and those in need around the world. Contributions to the Kappa Delta Foundation from alumnae, collegians and friends enable the sorority to further its philanthropic efforts, local community outreach programs, as well as scholarships and educational opportunities for members.

Our Values
Our four values – friendship & loyalty, personal integrity, lifelong learning, and selfless service – were created by our founders to help each Kappa Delta woman become the best version of herself.
Our Colors and Symbols
Kappa Delta's colors are olive green and pearl white; our jewels are the diamond, emerald and pearl; our symbols include the white rose, nautilus shell and dagger; and our mascot is the teddy bear.
About Zeta Beta
The Zeta Beta chapter at Union University was chartered in 1990, and has since brought lifelong friendship to so many Union alumni and continues to be a source of loyalty and confidence among its active members. One of the great joys of being a Kappa Delta at Union is having the honor to serve Jackson, Tennessee's Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse. We hold events to raise funds to support PCAA and the Carl Perkins Center. We also have the honor of using Kappa Delta's Confidence platform to instill confidence in young girlscouts by teaching them what it looks like to be a confident woman in todays world. Kappa Delta sorority is founded with its roots being in the christian faith. We are so greatful that at Union we get to live out that faith in everything we do! Our chapter holds Nautilus groups throughout the semester where we gather together as a sisterhood to learn more about the Lord our God and how to better serve him! Kappa Delta, Zeta Beta is a home away from home, and we love it here!
